WWE Rumours: Vince McMahon was responsible for booking this week's Monday Night Raw

Vince McMahon takes to the mike during a WWE event

In an astonishing piece of news that follows hot on the heels of this week’s highly acclaimed RAW episode, it has now been revealed who the mastermind responsible for setting Monday’s amazing events in motion is – reports allwrestlingnews.com.

As it turns out, WWE CEO Vince McMahon was the true brains behind Monday’s episode and not Executive Vice President for Creative and Events, Triple H – as fans had originally speculated.

Many were of the opinion that having Finn Balor go clean over Roman Reigns and book a berth opposite Seth Rollins at SummerSlam, and having Sasha Banks beat Charlotte for the WWE Women’s Title smacked of Triple H pulling the strings behind the scenes.

But it would seem that Vince McMahon isn’t as out of touch as many perceive him to be.

The McMahon family recently proved that they aren’t shy of competing with each other, demonstrated during Shane’s surprise return to WWE earlier this year, when he demanded control of RAW.

Even though Shane failed to meet his father’s challenge, which was defeating Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell match at WrestleMania 32, he’s still been an integral part of WWE till now, obtaining control of SmackDown at the Brand Split.

If this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw was anything to go about, fans have good cause to be excited about the future.
