What if Dean Ambrose re-signs with WWE

Dean Ambrose could easily slide into the title picture.

Particularly with the threat of defections to All Elite Wrestling looming, all indications are that WWE is making an effort to keep top talents happy and afford them renewed pushes to show that they’re valued.

While we’ll never know the full truth behind WWE’s creative decisions, rumor has it that this logic helped Finn Balor to his Universal Championship match at the Royal Rumble, and may be responsible for The Revival getting more time in the Raw tag title scene after reportedly having asked for their releases.

Dean Ambrose is already a heavily featured performer who wouldn’t be out of place challenging for the Universal Championship or moving to SmackDown and directly into the WWE Championship picture.

If WWE were to convince him to stay, against his initial intentions, one of the main things they might have to offer is another world title win, and perhaps a prolonged reign on top of one brand or the other.
