What if Roman Reigns gets added to the Universal Championship match at WrestleMania 35

#1 Seth Rollins is out

It's possible Reigns is not only added to the match but replaces an injured Rollins

It is possible that Roman Reigns gets inserted into the Universal Championship match, not in the context of a Triple Threat Match, but rather because he’s outright replacing Seth Rollins.

This isn’t a choice WWE would take lightly. Rollins is an elite performer and arguably Raw’s MVP over the last year, Moreover, he has been open about how much he cares about working WrestleMania, and taking that opportunity from him after winning the Royal Rumble would be a huge blow.

However, there are also reports that Rollins is dealing with back issues and that it’s those injuries and wanting him to heal fully for WrestleMania that have seen him mostly missing from in-ring action since winning the Rumble.

In a worst case scenario of Rollins being too hurt to work Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania, WWE may have had a gift fall into their laps in Reigns, the guy who never lost the title, coming back just in time to fill the spot.

While this isn’t exactly an appealing option, it would have the added benefit of setting up Rollins as the rightful challenger to Reigns or Lesnar in the near future.
