Edition 2: Where are these WWE Superstars now?

The Authority found out where Sting was during this statue reveal for Seth Rollins.

Some WWE Superstars like Chris Jericho, The Rock and Triple H either stick around the company long-term or come back for frequent appearances on WWE programming. Others, like Road Dogg, stay employed with the company in off-screen roles.

Still others find their way to other careers, and those stories can be fascinating, as was evident in the first in this series of features on such former performers. Here are three more Superstars of the past who may have slipped below WWE fans’ radars in recent years.

Steve Blackman

Steve Blackman had plenty of extreme matches with Shane McMahon.

Steve Blackman’s skill set was an interesting combination of traditional martial arts and extreme tactics in the ring. As such, he got plenty of opportunities at memorable moments, like a Hardcore Championship match at SummerSlam that saw him knock Shane McMahon off the Titantron to win the title for one of six times over his career.

Since that time, Blackman has traveled an intense path in starting Blackman Bail Bonds in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. That requires putting up the money for people to get out of jail, but that money can be difficult to collect down the road at times. Does Blackman still use a kendo stick?

Stevie Ray

Stevie Ray, left, was one-half of the Harlem Heat tag team with his brother, Booker T.

Athough never actually a WWE performer, Stevie Ray – real name Lash Rushay Huffman – won WCW’s World Tag Team Championship 10 times with brother Booker T as part of Harlem Heat. He was also one of the earliest members of the New World Order and won the Television Championship as a singles competitor.

Since exiting the spotlight, Stevie Ray has continued to wrestle occasionally and even opened a wrestling academy with his brother. In March, he also launched a radio show called “Straight Shooting with Stevie Ray” on a station in Houston, Texas.

Scotty 2 Hotty

Scotty 2 Hotty was one of the more entertaining figures of the Attitude Era in WWE.

Scotty 2 Hotty, real name Scott Garland, was part of the tag team Too Cool with Grandmaster Sexay and teamed with Rikishi for an entertaining, hip-hop inspired stable. During that time, Too Cool danced their way to the tag team belts, and Scotty 2 Hotty won the Light Heavyweight Championship.

These days, instead of doing the Worm, Garland lives in Orlando and is a firefighter after graduating from the Lake Tech Fire Academy in 2013. He’s also received EMT training. Maybe that way he can help keep things from getting 2 Hotty in Florida?
