Where are these WWE Superstars now? - Edition 7

The doors of the WWE keep revolving

The WWE has been home to hundreds of superstars of various talents and ability levels in the decades that the company has been bringing pro wrestling entertainment. Many of them stick around the company and continue to make appearances as legends.

Others end up elsewhere, and this feature is the seventh in a series exploring the lives of those Superstars after they left the spotlight. These three, in particular, were very well-known during their time in the ring but have been hard to track down since.

Charlie Haas

Charlie Haas is no longer an active wrestler in any known promotion.

During his time in the WWE, Charlie Haas was a member of the well-respected Team Angle. Alongside teammate Shelton Benjamin, Haas won the Tag Team titles twice, and he won the belts again with Rico.

After stints elsewhere, including Ring of Honor, Haas retired in 2013. He’s married to fellow former WWE talent Jackie Gayda, and the couple has four children. They also opened the Custom Muscle Nutrition and Smoothie Shop in Frisco, Texas, together, although a Facebook page for that store has not been updated in several years.

Headbanger Thrasher

The Headbangers were a successful but atypical tag team in the WWE.

If you had to pick one word to describe the Headbangers, it would probably be “unique.” The outlandish duo of Thrasher and Mosh was best known for its extreme jewelry and metal rock fan gear, which also included kilts.

The team won the WWF tag team gold once while also winning belts in various NWA promotions, and Thrasher won the Hardcore Championship in the WWF. Since officially retiring in 2002, Thrasher – real name Glenn Ruth – has returned to Ring of Honor action with Mosh but also managed restaurants and a YouFit Health Club in Florida.

Raven

Raven was one of pro wrestling’s edgier characters and performed in all the major promotions in the 1990s.

During the 1990s and early 2000s, Raven – real name Scott Levy – had runs in all the major promotions, including WCW, WWF and ECW. After earlier gimmicks in the other two, the Raven character became a symbol of the edgier hardcore programming that made ECW famous.

He then was part of that style in the other promotions, and as a result, he racked up multiple titles in all three companies, including 27 stints with the WWF’s Hardcore Championship. Since leaving the WWE, he’s wrestled on the independent scene and also wrote a Marvel comic book and attempted stand-up comedy.
