Who's in SAnitY?

Get to know this fearsome foursome!

On the October 12th, 2016 episode of NXT, all of us were excited to see our two favourite superstars- ‘The Perfect 10’ Tye Dillinger and the ‘Glorious’ Bobby Roode team up, and pick up their first ever win.

They were pitted against a team simply known as SAnitY, who had been advertised with vignettes from the time of NXT Takeover: Brooklyn. When the fearsome foursome made their debut, it was a sight to behold.

All four of the members were in terrifying masks, which they took off to reveal their identities one after the other. While the tag team would be revealed as Alexander Wolfe and Sawyer Fulton, the other two in the team would surprise us to a far greater degree.

Nikki Cross and legendary TNA superstar Eric Young complete this horrific lineup. From the kind of build up they’ve received so far, it is certain that they’ll be major players on the NXT roster, for a long time to come. But, we at Sportskeeda will attempt to dispel the mystery that surrounds these madmen and woman. So let’s go straight to it, shall we? Read and learn!

#4 Sawyer Fulton

This isn’t the first time you’ve seen him, you just don’t remember!

You may be surprised to know that Sawyer Fulton is not a newcomer to NXT. In fact, he’s been with them from as far back as 2012. In fact, you’ve probably seen him team up with Angelo Dawkins and compete on NXT television.

Obviously, that gimmick did not get over, but working with a ring veteran like Eric Young will do wonders for Fulton. His real name is Jacob Southwick, and he has a very strong amateur background.

In fact, while WWE tends to exaggerate figures and statistics, Fulton is supposed to be 6.8 feet and over 280 pounds. And you know what they say about big guys and Vince McMahon (wait, that just sounds wrong, doesn’t it?).

Fulton has always wanted to be a professional wrestler and considering his amateur background, it is no wonder that he thinks of Kurt Angle as his idol.

#3- Alexander Wolfe

Will Alexander Wolfe end up forming the SAnitY Wolfpac?

Alexander Wolfe is not a newcomer to the ring. In fact, one may even go so far as to call him a seasoned veteran in the squared-circle. The only difference is that he’s achieved most of his success outside the United States, in his native country of Germany.

His real name is Axel Tischer, and he’s wrestled on NXT television before, losing to Samoa Joe. Before SAnitY, perhaps the biggest career achievement of Wolfe’s life, was defeating El Generico a.k.a. Sami Zayn to win wXw Unified World Wrestling Championship and holding it for almost a year.

#2- Nikki Cross

Nikki Cross could be the X-factor the Women’s Division needed

Nikki Cross is just what the doctor ordered for the depleted NXT women’s division. As Liv Morgan, Billy Kay and Peyton Royce try their best, but still can’t match up to the skill sets of their predecessors such as Sasha Banks, Charlotte, Bayley and Becky Lynch; and Ember Moon and Asuka seek legitimate wrestlers they can feud with, enter this woman!

Nikki Cross can go with the best, and is quite a seasoned veteran from the UK independent circuit. In fact, she has been the Pro-Wrestling: Eve champion a grand total of three times.

Not only that, she’s also a pretty popular name in Japan, having competed in World Wonder Ring Stardom. In fact, even when it comes to mainstream American wrestling, Cross has been a part of promotions such as TNA as part of their ‘British Boot Camp 2’ program and GFW.

We even saw her competing on NXT television not too long ago, in a 6-woman tag team match, with Carmella and Liv Morgan.

#1- Eric Young

This TNA original is now an NXT signee

Over the years, many have attempted and pulled off the ‘insane’ gimmick. Few have done it with the conviction of Eric Young. How ironic that he’d be part of a stable called Sanity as he officially signs with NXT?

WWE’s developmental brand. A former member of Team Canada, Young has spent the majority of his career in TNA. In his tenure there, he’s done it all. He’s won many championships, including the World Heavyweight Championship, the X-Division Championship and even as a Tag Team Champion with the glorious Bobby Roode.

Here’s something you may not know. Eric Young has already taken part in the main event on an episode of NXT television wrestling against then NXT Champion Samoa Joe. Of course, Young would be defeated by submission that night. But we believe that WWE has big plans for the SAnitY gimmick. So, let’s wait and watch.
