Why are NXT superstars going to the main roster so soon?

There appears to be an invasion of sorts, with regards to the latest NXT call-ups on this week's WWE television. Ricochet, Aleister Black, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa made their main roster debuts on both Raw and SmackDown this week. Although the stars engaged in meaningless matches, it could be the beginning of something more.

It's only been a few weeks since the last call-ups: Heavy Machinery, Lacey Evans, Nikki Cross and EC3 made their way to the main roster - only to be lost in the ranks. But what is the meaning behind a sudden barrage of NXT stars coming up to the main brands?

It would be awesome to believe NXT stars would "Takeover" the main brands in something of a Survivor Series invasion. With Champu and Gargano telling The Bar they're there to take over, making reference to their PPV, it looked like the ideal angle needed to shake things up. Unfortunately, that's not been the case.

Why the sudden surge of call-ups?

According to Wrestle Talk News, the reason behind these sudden call-ups came from Vince McMahon himself as a means to keep fans interested in the brand as their competition is looking strong. This also reportedly led to some backstage heat between Triple H and McMahon as instead of utilising his talent, they appear pawns in the war of promotions at present.

These call-ups are all now on the main roster but not yet set on a particular brand as all eight talents - nine if you count Lars Sullivan - are appearing on both brands.

Just based on the past few weeks, Evans will continue to come in-and-out of the walkway, Heavy Machinery making cameos, Cross potentially teaming up with Alicia Fox and EC3 continuing his pairing with Alexa Bliss.

How should Vince and Triple H make use of their NXT call-ups? Would you watch if there was an NXT invasion?
