TLC is right around the corner and is the last PPV of the ever forgettable 2018. The match card is pretty jam-packed and the results of this PPV are going to give us a bit of insight on what the Road to WrestleMania could look like.
WWE could pull off a great show, with matches like Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins for the Intercontinental Championship and the Triple Threat TLC match for the Smackdown Women's Championship featuring Becky Lynch, Asuka and Charlotte Flair.
Let's now talk about the money fight: the Triple Threat TLC match between Becky Lynch, Asuka, and Charlotte. The Man is set to defend her title against the two very best in the business, and this match could easily be the highlight of the show as the women featured are among the best of the best.
After tonight's episode of Smackdown, we saw that Asuka is hungrier than ever and is ready to unleash hell upon Becky Lynch and Charlotte this Sunday at TLC. The show ended with Asuka standing tall over the two women after she assaulted them with a kendo stick.
Asuka is my pick to win this match at TLC. Why not? Those of you who have been watching NXT over the past few years know very well how dangerous Asuka was in NXT. She dominated and crushed all of her opponents.
After debuting on RAW, Asuka continued to dominate by securing a win for the RAW women's team at Survivor Series and winning the first ever Women's Royal Rumble.
But WWE didn't let her dominant run go any further after her undefeated streak ended at WrestleMania 34 earlier this year at the hands of Charlotte Flair. Since then Asuka has been booked terribly. It's time for a resurgence for the Empress of Tomorrow.
Also, this is the perfect time to build up the rumored triple threat match between Ronda Rousey, Charlotte, and Becky Lynch. To make this match happen, it would be best for Becky to drop her title to Asuka at TLC. So how could WWE be booking this match? Here's my take on it.
We know that Ronda has unfinished business with Charlotte Flair, as she was brutally assaulted by her at Survivor Series. These two women will be present in the same building at TLC, and we could see Ronda Rousey attacking Charlotte during the match and costing her and Becky the match.
WWE would not like to crack a hole into Becky's hot steamrolling character, and hence they would let take the loss. This would be the perfect build-up for the rumored Triple Threat at WrestleMania and open the doors of possibilities for new matches and rivalries.
