Why being "Deleted" in the Ultimate Deletion could be the best thing to happen to Bray Wyatt

Jeff Hardy and Bray Wyatt in the Ultimate Deletion segment

This past Monday night on RAW, Bray Wyatt was "deleted" by Matt Hardy in the Ultimate Deletion Match, and it could be the best thing to happen to Wyatt.

Ever since Wyatt lost the WWE Championship to Randy Orton last year at WrestleMania, he has been stale and misused terribly. The build-up to Orton vs. Wyatt last year was great, starting from Wyatt "brainwashing" Orton and winning the tag team titles, to Orton winning the Rumble and then saying he was playing Wyatt and burning down his house.

After that, though, things went downhill, as Wyatt lost at WrestleMania and then had the infamous House of Horrors Match, before moving to RAW and feuding with Finn Balor, almost becoming Sister Abigail before he missed time with the meningitis outbreak.

When he returned to action, he began his feud with Matt Hardy, which led to this week's Ultimate Deletion match which Wyatt lost after a distraction from Jeff Hardy and Senor Benjamin, and falling into the Lake of Reincarnation.

The Lake of Reincarnation has the distinction of the person falling into the lake coming out in old gimmicks. When Jeff fell in during the Final Deletion he came out as Willow the Wisp, and when Shane Helms fell in he came out as Hurricane Helms.

If this pattern continues, it could open the door for many possibilities for Wyatt. He could come back as Husky Harris, which was his very first gimmick back in NXT and during the Nexus days. He could come back as IRS, a gimmick which his father was famous for.

He could return as a face with almost the same character, or it could be something completely unexpected. They could even have him come back as "Broken" or "Woken" and team him up with Matt, while Jeff has a singles run, which might not happen based on his recent arrest for DWI.

As mentioned before, Wyatt definitely needs a repacking of some type. His character has gone extremely stale over the years, and each one of his feuds have been the same. First, he attacks a random Superstar, then he talks in jibberish about being a "God" and how everything is fake.

Then, when it comes time for the match, he loses. The cycle then repeats itself in his next feud. Wyatt needs to be repacked as someone fans and his rivals should take seriously and as a threat, because as of now, who can take him seriously?

Wyatt is a fan favorite and many fans have said he deserves way better than what he has gotten in his WWE run, so if done correctly being "deleted" may be the best thing to happen to him and can rejuvenate him.

The worst possible scenario that could come from this situation is that Wyatt takes some time off, but comes back and does the same thing he has been doing for the past few years.
