Why Braun Strowman should be added to the Universal Championship match at WrestleMania 34

Braun Strowman deserves

We are just weeks away from WrestleMania, and as of this writing, arguably the most popular wrestler in the WWE, Braun Strowman has not been booked yet.

I find it hard to believe that Strowman, who has gone from the powerhouse of the Wyatt Family to one of the most over guys on the roster in the span of a couple of years, will not be in a high profile match at WrestleMania next month.

Last year, Strowman was a participant in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and was eliminated early in the contest. This year, Strowman is above that match, and he doesn't really fit into any match on the card, except for the Main Event match for the Universal Championship.

Strowman has a history with Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. Strowman feuded with Reigns for the majority of 2017, which had many memorable moments including Strowman flipping over an ambulance while Reigns was inside. Strowman also faced Lesnar at Summerslam in a Fatal 4 Way Match for the Universal Championship, as well as singles match at No Mercy for the Title.

This year Strowman faced Lesnar once again at the Royal Rumble for the Title in a Triple Threat match, which included Kane. At the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, Strowman eliminated 5 men, but was finally eliminated by Reigns.

If Reigns vs Lesnar remains a one-on-one match, it could end up being a repeat of Lesnar vs Goldberg from WrestleMania 20, where fans knew both men were leaving the company so they booed the match from start to finish. Lesnar is possibly going back to UFC after his contract ends.

Adding Strowman to the match may help, even if Reigns still wins. Also, Reigns has yet to defeat Lesnar in a match, and Strowman has had the advantage over Reigns in almost all of their encounters, so that could add to the story of the match.

For all of his hard work and character development in the past two years, Strowman should be rewarded and added to the Main Event match of WrestleMania 34.
