Kane vs The Undertaker? - The Phenom and WrestleMania have almost become inseparable

The 35th edition of WrestleMania is approaching, and the rumors about whether The Undertaker would be participating at the ‘Show Of Shows’ have already started doing the rounds.

There has been no official confirmation yet of ‘The Phenom’ taking part in WWE’s biggest event of the year, but with 2 months still to go for WrestleMania 35, it is most likely that ‘The Deadman' will have one final retirement match at ‘The Grandest Stage Of Them All’.

The Undertaker and WrestleMania have almost become inseparable. He has been the biggest draw for WWE’s biggest event, and the legendary Undertaker has delivered some classics at WrestleMania over the years.

He has a staggering 26 appearances at WrestleMania, and if the Undertaker is slated for a match at ‘The Grandest Stage Of Them All’, the anticipation increases, the excitement reaches fever pitch, and the ticket sales go up.

But now the question is - who is worthy enough to be slated as The Undertaker’s opponent to retire him this year?

At the 34th edition of WrestleMania, John Cena was indeed a worthy contender to retire The Undertaker, but the WWE squashed the ‘dream match’, with The Undertaker decimating Cena inside 3 minutes.

The question of who The Undertaker should face this year is a very critical one. Therefore WWE can surprise the fans by booking Undertaker’s storyline brother, Kane, as the Phenom’s opponent for WrestleMania 35.

But the question is, why Kane?

The answer is this - The Undertaker is now over 53 years old, and is no longer the wrestler he once was. Age has certainly caught up with 'the Deadman’, and he is in the twilight of his unprecedented career.

The in-ring quality The Undertaker can offer is limited, and this is exactly where a legend like Kane can come in handy.

The WWE must make Kane return in his masked avatar to spice up the bout. Also, with these two men, WWE can use theatrics to very good effect and tell a classic story to the fans.

Kane has been in the WWE for over 2 decades now and is a legend in his own right. The WWE can have The Undertaker inducted into the ‘Hall Of Fame’ the night before WrestleMania, have these two men deliver a classic for one final time, have Kane beat the Undertaker, and allow ‘The Deadman’ finally ‘Rest In Peace’.

By booking this classic, the WWE can ensure that an icon like The Undertaker is retired by a legend like Kane, and at the same time show Kane the recognition he deserves by giving him the opportunity to retire the iconic Undertaker.
