Rey Mysterio was in one of the three main events at All In. More than just an appearance or random match on the card, outside of the Bullet Club Elite members, Rey Mysterio was one of the highly anticipated performers for All In and his appearance was used as a promotional tool (even though it wasn't needed to sell tickets).
Rumors of Mysterio returning to the WWE have been circulating for over a year and it is safe to say negotiations between Mysterio and WWE have likely been happening, but it might also be safe to say that an appearance at a significant event like All In, could be prolonging those talks, pushing back a potential return date.
