Since the brand split returned in 2016 and WWE RAW and WWE Smackdown became separate again, one Superstar has stood out amongst the rest and has reinvented himself, and as a result, deserves another main event push and World Title run - The Miz.

Before the brand split, The Miz really wasn't doing much and was stuck in mid-card purgatory. He was the Intercontinental Champion at the time of the draft but was feuding with guys like Darren Young and Apollo Crews. However, in the Talking Smack show after Summerslam 2016, The Miz went on an epic rant against Smackdown General Manager Daniel Bryan, who had called Miz a coward. Miz called him a coward for not returning to wrestle after he told the fans he would.

After that, he went on to have an emotional feud with Dolph Ziggler, who put his career on the line at No Mercy 2016 and won. In 2017, before being drafted to RAW, he feuded with John Cena, which led to a mixed tag team match at Wrestlemania 33. After being drafted to RAW, he has been feuding with each member of The Shield pretty much the whole time.

The Miz also credits the return of his wife, and former Divas Champion, Maryse, for his revitalization, as he told people that her return has given him the confidence in everything he has done, from his promos to his in-ring work, and it has shown.

The Miz is one of, if not the best, at cutting promos in WWE, and while he may not be as good as AJ Styles in the ring, he has improved tremendously from where he was during his first WWE Championship reign. During his first WWE reign, Miz was booked as a cowardly heel, even though that's how most heels are booked.

He used Alex Riley to help him retain his title in almost every title defence. He had underwhelming feuds with Randy Orton and a then 60-year-old Jerry Lawler. When Miz did main event Wrestlemania 27, he was pretty much the third wheel to John Cena and The Rock, as they were beginning the build to their match at the following year's Wrestlemania.

This time, The Miz has Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas, known as the Miztourage, and while that can turn into Alex Riley 2.0, The Miz is now more believable and can win matches on his own. The WWE could build up Axel and Dallas and give them a run with the tag team titles, and if Miz wins the World Title, you have yourself a stable full of champions.

Speaking of Axel and Dallas, Miz has done wonders for them as well. Before they became the Miztourage, Axel and Dallas were rarely seen on WWE television, and when they were, it was mostly in squash matches. While they haven't won much since being part of the Miztourage, they are in a much better place than they previously were.

In 2011, The Miz was probably not ready for the WWE Championship and the main event, but that was 7 years ago and he has improved tremendously since then. His promos are arguably the best in WWE and his in-ring work is good too, and I feel like he can carry RAW or Smackdown now.

He also has mainstream media appeal as he has starred in movies, such as the Marine series. With all of that going for him and all the work he has put in to improve on his craft, The Miz deserves another World Title reign this year.
