Why the women's Royal Rumble match is a bad idea for WWE

Women's Royal Rumble,
The women's Royal Rumble match will take place this Sunday!

While many in the WWE Universe are probably excited about the upcoming Women's Royal Rumble match, especially since it will be the first time in WWE history that the company has done this for the women's division, it is sad to see the Woman's Revolution have to take the same path as the men once again.

Sure, WWE is essentially putting women on the same level as the men by having this historic match, but why not go a step further and do something completely different? Not only does that set the stage for a possible tradition that could last for generations in WWE, but also gives them a chance to go a step further than what the men are doing.

In fact, why is WWE content with doing the same thing for both genders in every single type of match? It was pretty cool at the beginning when they were doing Hell in a Cell matches, Money In The Bank ladder matches and cage matches, but it has just reached a point where they can't seem to come up with their own ideas and do something new.

If The Woman's revolution really wants to be heralded as this groundbreaking phenomenon that has changed women's wrestling forever, why doesn't WWE set the women on a different path in some regards? That's not permission to do a reverse ladder match or something ridiculous like that, just do something different that fans will love!

For example, why not try to introduce a three-woman tag team championship and make them the first to give a title to the six-person contests? Not only would that be doing something completely different and giving the women's division a little more distinction, it also allows for The Women's revolution to finally contribute something new to wrestling!

With that being said, none of this is to say that the Woman's Royal Rumble match won't be a momentous occasion and probably one of the highlights of the pay per view, but it will also hopefully be the last time that The WWE is willing to go for anything less then trailblazing when it comes to The Women's revolution.
