The Money in the Bank PPV is over, and one of the huge surprises the WWE sprung was Brock Lesnar entering in the last minute, and winning the MITB contract.

This has got some fans complaining about how the WWE has been giving preferential treatment to Lesnar, and how the match was just gifted to him, while other superstars had battled it out in vain.

What we need to understand here is that the WWE needs someone like Brock Lesnar. He is a major box office attraction, as he will help increase the ratings, and he is one of the most legitimate fighters ever to step foot inside the ring.

A Lesnar match-up garners more attention, and he is very important to the business at this moment in time.

Why?

The reason is simple - most icons and legends of the WWE have either left the business or are in the twilight of their careers.

The Undertaker is in the last leg of his illustrious career and is a pale shadow of his former self, Kane has become a mayor and has drastically reduced his appearances, John Cena is busy in Hollywood, Triple H is nudging 50 years of age, and it is highly unlikely that Goldberg will carry on for long after the Saudi Arabia PPV. Lesnar is one of the last few 'stars' left in the business.

WWE needs someone like Lesnar to hold the business. Lesnar has made a mark in the WWE ever since returning in 2012. He destroyed John Cena on his return in 2012, he did the unthinkable by ending The Undertaker’s Streak at WrestleMania, he gave Big Show a pounding of a lifetime at Royal Rumble, and he busted Randy Orton open at SummerSlam.

Lesnar has been an unstoppable force of destruction, and fans would love to see ‘The Beast Incarnate’ in the ring. Lesnar provides high-quality in-ring action, he can cut top promos with Paul Heyman by his side, and he can wreak absolute havoc.

So, we need to understand that Lesnar is an extremely important asset for the WWE today, and Vince Mcmahon will indeed look to push the ‘Beast Incarnate’ and ensure that his ‘top guy’ is kept happy.

The WWE Universe needs to stop complaining and understand that the company needs Brock Lesnar now, more than ever.
