The true 'Best In The World' - CM Punk

The title of this article speaks for itself. We have been hearing questions and speculations being asked like, 'will CM Punk ever return to WWE?', or people claiming that 'he will make his return in surprising fashion'.

The short and simple answer to these questions is NO, CM Punk will not return to WWE probably ever again. He has legitimate reasons why he left the company, including having real heat with Triple H and claims of a mistreated ailment.

There was also the fact that Vince would never let him main event big programs at any of the big four PPV's, due to McMahon not believing he was a big enough draw and not fitting the mold of a perfect looking superstar that Vince loves.

It certainly didn't help that WWE sent his termination papers on his wedding day, hence the reason why AJ Lee will probably never return either.

Vince McMahon and CM Punk were said to have a reasonably good relationship backstage, yet if it's true that Triple H didn't believe in CM Punk to be a major draw and changed McMahon's mind on Punk, then it is totally understandable why Punk was demanding change in 2011.

He was being held back by the usual backstage politicians, however, had they run with how white-hot he became at the time, we could have seen the 2011 version of a Stone Cold Steve Austin character.

CM Punk was not so much a character on screen at all, it was basically the real person behind CM Punk, Phil Brooks, making his voice heard and displaying his real attitude towards authority backstage.

He was never the easiest guy to get along with, yet the change he was asking the company to make was really to help benefit the whole company, not just himself. He was the man who demanded ice cream bars be sold again and made them popular again.

His pipe bomb promo was exactly the kick that the WWE needed at the time. Many people were getting complacent and lazy both in the ring and backstage, and it was showing to the fans.

Punk breaking the fourth wall and exposing real-life elements of how bad some are backstage was a well appreciated moment by the fans who had been telling the company the same for months. It would have been interesting to see what other dirty laundry Punk would have brought up, had his microphone not been cut.

I believe that CM Punk cutting that promo actually made the company relax a bit more when other superstars break the fourth wall. Sometimes it's what is needed to keep a story real or to get the company to stop treating certain stars the wrong way.

An added incentive to WWE needing to treat their superstars better is the birth of All Elite Wrestling. Many people, thanks in part to CM Punk, are now not afraid to speak up to WWE management if they feel they aren't being utilized properly. 'The Voice of the Voiceless' has certainly helped others learn to have a voice, while also showing there are other options outside of WWE.

In summary, CM Punk was a top superstar who got severely mistreated by WWE. After everything that has been said and done by both CM Punk and WWE, the chances he will ever return are zero.

We need to accept this fact and let the man enjoy the other interests he has in life. He has told people time and again that he has no intentions of working for WWE again or probably ever going back to pro wrestling.

He is focused on his movie career, along with doing commentary for an MMA promotion and working on comic books. If he was ever to be seen in WWE again, it will only be as a Hall of Fame inductee, as he did revolutionize the business with his anti-authority behavior.

It seems a long stretch that WWE will even acknowledge him again, let alone induct him into the HOF. So let us move on from him and focus on the talent they have.
