What's the tory?
Recently, quite a few talents under WWE have taken a leave of absence due to personal issues with the company. Many believed this was the case for Tom Phillips, who was absent on Tuesday night, but that couldn't be further from the truth.
In case you didn't know...
Between Austin Aries, Neville and Nia Jax, WWE has had a handful of talent who abruptly went for a leave. When Michael Cole was absent from Raw earlier this month, rumours began to swirl about the longtime announcer's status with the company.
However, as we learned, there was nothing to worry about. It turned out that Cole attended his son's wedding, and Tom Phillips was brought in to pull double duty on Raw and Smackdown. Just like the previous case, Phillips is away on pleasant business, and he'll return soon.
The heart of the matter
Per Wrestlingnews.com Phillips married his fiance on Saturday. WWE gave the Blue Brand's lead commentator some time off for his honeymoon. Phillips will be back in time for the next instalment of Smackdown Live.
What's next?
Phillips will be back in time for the next episode of Smackdown Live, just in time for the Survivor Series build up to fully take effect. With the final of the Big Four PPVs taking place in a month's time, there's quite a lot to get done, story-wise.

With all the recent walkouts, and the rumours of talent looking to Cody Rhodes for help on leaving the WWE, I'd be lying if I didn't think for a second that Tom might be leaving.
However, I'm glad to hear that Phillips was taking time off for something positive. I'm a fan of his commentary, and feel he's become a pretty integral part of Tuesday nights.
