Why WWE's doctor is suing CM Punk and they don't care about outcome

Punk is in the bad books of the WWE

According to the Wrestling Observer WWE are not necessarily interested in outright beating CM Punk in their recent lawsuit through Dr. Chris Amann, but simply want to cause Punk hassle and drag him through the dirt.

The company settled with Punk over his contract and royalties before he appeared on the Colt Cabana podcast and Amann’s lawsuit is mostly a case of “revenge” and not about facts.

On the podcast Punk described how Amann refused to treat a growth on his back, which he later claims was revealed to be an MRSA infection when he got it treated by his own physician. Amann’s lawsuit claims that Punk never sought treatment for the lump, they have no records of any meetings, and that his claims are a defamation.

WWE chimed in last week with a video that zoomed in on Punk’s back and revealed no such lump. However Punk said it was in the area of his waistband, so it could have been hidden by his trunks. He later showed the scar on Opie Radio. A photo on WWE.com’s archives also seems to show the lump. It’s possible Punk’s timeline of the story may be inaccurate.
