The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal  is the perfect way to create new stars

The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal has now become a regular fixture of the Wrestlemania card. Not only is it a good way to get more guys on the show, but it's the perfect way to create new stars. Last year Baron Corbin won the prestigious match in front of 100,000 people at WM32, now he's regularly in the main event of SmackDown.

This Battle Royal has the power to transform lives and alter careers.

This year we'll witness the fourth edition of the coveted Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in front of 80,000 people at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando Florida. The perfect place for one Superstar to etch his name in history.

Here are five WWE superstars we think should win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

#5 Mojo Rawley

Here's the one guy that nobody takes seriously. Yes, he may be annoying but there's just something about this Mojo Rawley guy, that makes us believe that he could be somebody, with the right booking. If we were to channel his high energised gimmick into PPV victories, people would love him. Rawley certainly has all the tools to become a crowd favourite:

  • -an unconventional/not polished look
  • -bundles of energy
  • -an athletic background
  • He's nobody's first pick by a long shot but that's what makes him even more of an underdog. A guy favoured by no one having his great Wrestlemania moment is what the WWE is all about. While Zack Ryder is out on the sidelines, it's time to give the former college footballer a bit of a solo shine to prevent him from just becoming a lower card jobber.

#4 Titus O'Neil

Titus O'Neil will possibly go down as the most underutilised, unused and wasted talent in WWE history.

Just look at the 39-year old, he has all the tools. The build, the strength, the mic skills and the social media charisma. Titus is everything the WWE wants in a mid-card talent but for some reason, Vince McMahon has repeatedly devalued his use on the main roster.

Instead of becoming the dominant heel his body suggests he should be, he's become a lower card comedy act on Monday nights. It's time to revive the career of a talent that was once so promising and present him as a legit threat to the babyfaces of Raw.

Why does the WWE persist in wasting talented individuals on the roster and then complaining that nobody has 'grabbed the brass ring'. It's a farce. Use your guys according to their worth and they'll get over. It's time for O'Neil to finally make it on the big stage by eliminating 29 other men and winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

#3 Jason Jordan

Jordan chose to pursue a career in wrestling instead of baseball after college

Athletic, charming, well-spoken and an NXT graduate, Jason Jordan is the perfect candidate to win the battle royal at Wrestlemania 33. Sometimes in wrestling, all a person needs is that one moment, that one opportunity to determine whether they'll be a star or a commoner.

Give the Superstar that rub and see where it goes. Jordan just needs that Wrestlemania moment to transition him from a mid-card guy to a future main eventer. Yes, I know he's currently doing big things with his tag team partner Chad Gable but we all know that tag teams rarely rise to main event status.

To be a star in this industry you have to go down the solo route. Being part of a tag team duo would place Jordan far down the pecking order in favourites to win this match, thus making his victory the more shocking.

#2 Heath Slater

The one man band has not only got kids but star power too.

Despite all the lows and burials in his career, Slater has always somehow managed to maintain his popularity with the WWE Universe. Being the only WWE Superstar not to get drafted last July spelt an ominous prospect for his career. But instead, he took the bull by its horns and became the most over member of the SmackDown roster.

The whole Rhyno-Slater storyline was nice while it lasted but it's time to move on. You should never ever let things get stale in the WWE or you'll find yourself being wasted. We need a tag team split now and then we need Slater to join the illustrious list of names to have won the Battle Royal on the grandest stage of them all.

#1 Tye Dillinger

10! 10! 10! Wrestlemania would be a perfect 10 if this NXT Superstar won the Battle Royal.

Tye Dillinger has been everybody's favourite NXT wrestler even with the likes of Nakamura and Rhode present. His constant will to push his body to its physical limits wows and woos the Full Sail crowd on a weekly basis. That's why many are now tipping the 35-year old to be the next NXT breakout star on the main roster.

We all know that chants are the way to get over in the WWE, you need a crowd reaction to stay relevant on television. Tye already has that, his 10 gimmick is the new 'YES' chant and with that, he'll receive the loudest reaction at Wrestlemania this year.

Now it's just Vince's job to translate that crowd popularity into actual star power before it's too late. The WWE must learn how to capitalise on momentum instead of being so set in their ways of ignoring it.
