Alexa Bliss faced her former friend

After Asuka chose to face Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Championship, there was only one logical opponent for the Goddess - Nia Jax.

Before the match, Nia Jax eliminated the possibility of outside interference by absolutely flattening Mickie James on the outside.

Jax completely woman-handled Alexa Bliss, before lifting the Champion above her head with a huge gorilla press.

Bliss collected her belt and tried to exit before Jax dropped her on the outside with a clothesline, dragged her back into the ring and made a beeline for the Champion. The referee tried to hold her off, though, and Bliss got a few strikes in, even getting Jax off her feet. Alexa Bliss identified a weakness in Nia's knee and went to work.

Bliss tried to get Jax into a guillotine but simply couldn't restrain The Irresistible Force. Jax ended up on the outside, but rather than waiting for the count-out, Bliss hit the Twisted Bliss from the top rope to the outside.

With both women making it back into the ring, Bliss hit Jax with her patented DDT - but Jax kicked out at two. The champion delivered some stiff slaps while trash talking her challenger, before Jax grabbed Bliss, told her to "shut the hell up" and hit her with an impressive Beell.

Bliss came off the top rope, Jax caught her and snapped Bliss off the turnbuckle. Bliss came back at Jax, but Jax caught her for the bodyslam, Bliss countered, but not for long and Jax, again, snapped Bliss from a compromising position to the ground with a tough Alabama Slam.

Jax lifted the champion up, went to the second rope with Bliss on her shoulders and hit the Super Samoan Drop to be crowned new Raw Women's Champion.

Result: Nia Jax defeated Alexa Bliss.
