WrestleMania 34 SmackDown Women's Championship match: Charlotte vs Asuka, winners, video highlights and analysis

Charlotte vs Asuka. Title vs Streak. One of the most highly anticipated matches of WrestleMania - and it did not disappoint.

Charlotte made an incredibly majestic entrance, an entrance fit for a queen on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

This match started as you would expect - incredibly physical, but also highly technical. These two women are two of the most dominant women, maybe in the history of wrestling, and this match was sure to make history one way or another.

Early on in the match, Charlotte started to favor her arm and Asuka definitely tried to capitalize at every available opportunity - driving Charlotte's arm onto the floor and applying hold after hold to try and target the weakness.

Charlotte soon took over, though, and started getting very physical in her own way. Then in what was a spot sure to be remembered for years, Charlotte went for the Moonsault only to be caught in a triangle choke hold by The Empress of Tomorrow.

The defending Women's Champion then countered that into a Boston crab, but Asuka escaped. The pair then took the fight to the apron and Asuka went high-risk to try take advantage with a Suplex on the floor.

Neither woman wanted a countout, and both gave it their all to get back in the ring, shouting in each other's face as they struggled to their feet. Asuka hit Charlotte to the floor then went to the top rope and delivered a missile dropkick.

Both women then ended up on the top rope and Charlotte hit a beautiful Spanish Fly from the top rope on Asuka.

Charlotte hit the Natural Selection, only for Asuka to counter into a submission move that could have easily ended it all. The pair ended up back on their feet... Well, not for long Charlotte hit Asuka off the ropes with a huge Spear for a near fall before locking in the Figure 8.

Asuka tapped and Charlotte ended the streak!

Asuka grabbed the microphone and said Charlotte was ready for Asuka. She congratulated the Queen and they ended in an embrace.

Result: Charlotte defeated Asuka
