It was classic
It was classic

It could have been the final match of Triple H's career, but it turned out to be the last match of Batista's illustrious career. Considering they told a captivating story for months, they were expected to tear the house down at Metlife Stadium. Since the match lasted over 24 minutes, it was the longest match of the Showcase of Immortals this year.

The match was a No Hold Barred match which made things interesting. Both the superstars endured brutal punishments as it was a classic old-school type match. The Game dominated the beginning of the bout as he hit Batista with a steel chain. However, the vicious part of the match was when Triple H used needle-nosed piler to take out the nose ring of Batista.

Batista changed the gear when he slammed Triple H on the announce table. The Game fought back after backdropping Batista on the announce table. Moreover, the Animal kicked out a Pedigree and Triple H survived a Batista Bomb. Ric Flair subsequently came to rescue Triple H when handed him a Sledgehammer and Batista could not survive when Triple H delivered a second Pedigree.

There is no denying that the match was slow, but it was highly entertaining. Triple H avenged his loss of WrestleMania 21 where the two legendary superstars mainevented the show.
