WrestleMania 35: 5 Ways "Demon" Finn Balor could impact WrestleMania

On February 17th, 2019, Finn Balor wowed one and all by defeating both Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match. Balor's awe-inspiring performance ensured that he dethroned Lashley, and became the new WWE Intercontinental Champion.

However, on the March 11th, 2019 episode of Monday Night RAW, Balor defended his WWE Intercontinental Title in a rematch against Lashley, and ended up getting distracted by Lio Rush in the matchup. Needless to say, Lashley took advantage of the distraction provided by Rush, and defeated Balor.

And just like that, the WWE Universe once again has Lashley holding the prestigious Intercontinental Championship -- with the biggest problem being that Lashley's heel character hasn't really clicked with the fans. On the contrary, the vast majority of professional wrestling fans have been longing for the WWE to book Balor as one of the company's champions.

Now that we're within sniffing distance of WrestleMania 35, we take a closer look at how the WWE could boost Balor's momentum at "The Show Of Shows", with his "Demon" persona at that!

So, without further ado, here are the 5 ways in which "Demon" Finn Balor could impact WrestleMania 35...

#5 "Demon" Finn Balor could annihilate Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush in a Triple Threat Match

"Demon" Finn Balor could destroy Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush

Should the WWE go forward with this booking option, it'll be a given that they'd be pitting Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush against one another. Frankly speaking, Rush's pairing with Lashley hasn't really worked out well for either of the two RAW Superstars, and the best option for them right now would be to go their separate ways.

If the WWE turns the rumored Intercontinental Title Match between Finn Balor and Bobby Lashley, into a Triple Threat Match featuring Lio Rush as well; we could most definitely see Balor outsmarting both his villainous adversaries.

Moreover, with his "Demon" persona unleashed on "The Grandest Stage Of Them All", Balor would not only outwit, but also overpower Lashley and Rush -- absolutely destroying them en route to once again winning the WWE IC Title...

#4 "Demon" Finn Balor could interfere in the rumored Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre matchup

Yes, we all know the announcement could be sprung upon us any time now. And, yes, it is, beyond the shadow of a doubt, one of the most intriguing matchups on the WrestleMania 35 card.

Ever since Roman Reigns made his on-screen return to the WWE, after his battle with leukemia, the professional wrestling rumor mill has been abuzz with talk regarding the possibility of a singles match between Reigns and Drew McIntyre. Apparently, the WWE seems to have planned a one-on-one match pitting "The Big Dog" against "The Scottish Psychopath" on "The Grandest Stage Of Them All" WrestleMania!

Whilst waiting for the WWE to officially announce the aforementioned matchup, what really caught my attention is the fact that in a clash between two of RAW's most important Superstars -- Reigns and McIntyre -- the WWE has to be incredibly cautious with its booking of this match.

Neither Reigns nor McIntyre can afford to lose "clean" to each other; owing to which there is a distinct possibility of the WWE booking an outside interference in this match. Win or lose his IC Title match against Lashley, "Demon Finn Balor could surely interfere in Reigns vs. McIntyre -- helping McIntyre beat Reigns...Speaking of which...

#3 Finn Balor could finally turn heel!

Perhaps one of the most heated topics of debate and discussion as of late, has been pertaining to the possibility of Finn Balor finally turning heel in the WWE. To be blunt, it's been so very long since we've seen Balor as a heel in any organization, that even a meaningless heel turn akin to an "RKO Outta' Nowhere" would suffice!

In other words, the large majority of the WWE Universe wants Balor to turn heel. An interesting point over here, is that his "Demon" persona is often described as the "dark side" of Finn Balor -- Nevertheless, what I'm talking about here, is a full-fledged heel turn.

Gone will be the perpetually-grinning Balor, and instead, the WWE Universe will be introduced to the more serious and driven "Prince Devitt" sort of Balor -- someone whose primary aim is success and the destruction of his enemies.

With that being said, what better stage to finally turn Balor heel, than WrestleMania? Balor could help Drew McIntyre beat Roman Reigns, and then continue attacking Reigns after the match is over; thereby firmly establishing himself as a heel...

#2 Finn Balor could attack Triple H and start a feud with his NXT mentor

From 2014 until his main roster debut in mid-2016, Finn Balor was a mainstay in the WWE's NXT brand, where, under the guidance of NXT founding father Paul "Triple H" Levesque, Balor scaled great heights of success.

Now, Balor is rumored to be challenging Bobby Lashley for the latter's WWE Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 35. Also on the 'Mania card, Triple H will face old "frenemy" Dave Batista in a No Holds Barred matchup. The writing is on the wall, and it wouldn't be surprising in the least to see Balor interfere in Triple H's match with Batista.

While Batista is likely to either retire from professional wrestling altogether or feud with someone else after WrestleMania 35; Balor attacking and costing Triple H his match at 'Mania, could lead to a full-blown rivalry between the student and his mentor!

Both Balor and Triple H have otherworldly ring psychology, and will definitely make the most out of the real-life student-mentor angle, when engaging in their on-screen feud...However, what's essential here, is for Balor to attack Triple H in the former's "Demon" avatar, and utterly obliterate "The Game" before embarking on a long-term rivalry...

#1 "Demon" Balor could make the impossible possible, and regain the WWE Universal Title

"Demon" Finn Balor could regain the WWE Universal Championship

Finn Balor is the inaugural WWE Universal Champion, and never really lost his title, so to speak. Owing to a serious shoulder injury, Balor was forced to relinquish his WWE Universal Championship, and while the talented RAW Superstar eventually made his in-ring return, the long hiatus seemed to have severely affected his momentum in the promotion.

Notwithstanding, now that Balor seems to have got his rhythm back, he'd potentially be looking towards the WWE Universal Title which is presently held by "The Beast Incarnate" Brock Lesnar.

Now, Lesnar is set to defend his Universal Championship in a singles match against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 35. It's noteworthy that there hasn't really been much hype around this matchup; in lieu of which the WWE could likely consider adding a third Superstar to spice things up.

The best case scenario here, would be for Balor to lose his IC Title match against Bobby Lashley by way of Disqualification, and then obliterate Lashley as well as Lio Rush. Following which, a heel Balor would then reveal himself as the third Superstar in the Universal Title match, and win the match by pinning Rollins -- thereby producing one of the most shocking moments in recent WrestleMania history.
