#1.Sting vs The Undertaker

It has been rumored, but will it happen?
It has been rumored, but will it happen?

This is one of those matches that fans expect to play in WWE-produced video games. WWE's Phenom versus WCW's Scorpion, The Deadman versus The Vigilante, Tombstone Piledriver versus Scorpion Death Drop, Hell's Gate versus Scorpion Death Lock, Undertaker versus Sting. Two cornerstones of their generation, Undertaker and Sting, are two of sports-entertainment's greatest creations.

Believe it or not, but this dream encounter is actually being considered for WrestleMania 36. Sting is currently retired from in-ring competition and Taker is only called up two to three times a year for special events.

Sting has articulated a keen desire to face Taker, so he wouldn't mind coming out of retirement for a match against the latter. This could sound far-fetched to the casual fan, but we've learned to expect the unexpected from WWE.

Critics will argue that this match is taking place far too late as both men are way past their prime, but supporters will argue that the entrances and stare-downs will be enough to get the crowd on the edge of their seats.

Given their age and physical limitations, the match should be kept short, but there's no valid reason for it not happening at all. If WWE lets this slip through its fingers, it would be a monumental missed opportunity and an unmistakable offence.
