A possible change in The Undertaker's gimmick after 16 years?

The Undertaker may have initiated the feud with AJ Styles by first costing him two matches. However, it was the ‘Phenomenal One’ who went above and beyond to make this rivalry as personal as he could. In the last few weeks, we have seen Styles call out ‘Taker countless times and he has left no stone unturned in agitating the Phenom.

From calling out The Undertaker for his depreciating form in recent years to blaming Michelle McCool for pushing her husband beyond his limits, Styles has said a lot of things that won’t sit well with one of the most iconic Superstars of all time. This also forced The Undertaker into adopting a more brutal gimmick than what we have seen in recent years.

It is quite possible that WWE are planning to add more intensity in his character as he is nearing the end of his illustrious career. However, that change won’t be executed properly unless The Undertaker beats Styles and proves that he has still got it. Moreover, it will allow WWE to book a rather intense feud in the coming years to set up a compelling retirement match for The Deadman.
