Rhea Ripley made a grand entrance for her second match at WWE WrestleMania. The Nightmare was all set to challenge Asuka for the RAW Women’s Championship at the event.

Asuka was on the offense early and gave Ripley something to think about. The Nightmare used her power and locked Asuka in bodyscissors before beating her down.

Breaking Vince Russo and Jim Cornette update HERE.

Asuka tried her best to get control over Ripley, but failed to keep her down for long. She rocked her with a kick, then hit the hip attack, but could not put the former NXT Champion away.

Ripley caught Asuka with a running dropkick on top of the ropes that knocked her to the floor. She threw Asuka face-first into the ring apron to do more damage to the RAW Women’s Champion at WrestleMania.

The two added a few more big spots to keep the action ticking before trading submission holds. Finally, Ripley hit the Riptide to secure the victory and emerge as the new RAW Women’s Champion.

Ripley became the first WWE Superstar to win the NXT UK, NXT, and the RAW Women’s Championship. The match allowed The Nightmare to redeem herself after her loss at WrestleMania last year.

Asuka didn’t have a great reign as champion, and it will be up to Ripley to lead the Red brand’s women’s division post-WrestleMania.
