Wrestling duo the Young Bucks speak about their ambitions and more

The Young Bucks are currently a part of Global Force Wrestling

In a recent interview with Channel Guide Magazine, wrestling siblings Matt and Nick Jackson – who ply their trade as The Young Bucks, spoke about their ambitions in the sport and also threw light on Ring of Honor, which their are currently promoting – reports dailywrestlingnews.

When asked why they chose to sign for Ring of Honor, Matt replied: “We were feeling burnt out, and our bodies were hurting. We were missing that valuable time at home. We are fathers with young babies. About a year ago, we really started thinking that maybe it’s time to slow it down and take a little bit of a break.”

The combination of money along with the promise of getting some valueable family time was what enticed the brothers to sign with ROH. Matt further elaborated saying: It wasn’t really a hard decision once the offer came.

We are signed for 14 months and now 13 months are left on the thing. Once we signed, I think we felt pretty good. Now that we are living the new schedule it feels really good to be home more. My body feels a lot better.”

Ambition isn’t something that the brother are short of, with Matt having some lofty plans for ROH, saying: “We want to do big things. We see ROH on the rise. We want to keep killing it, producing money and fans for the company.

We want to help them like they helped us. We want to put on awesome matches. Hopefully, the brand becomes more popular.”

Matt also speaks of bringing about big changes in the program, saying: “Within this year we are trying to change the business. I’m not going to give anything away. We happen to be in a good spot where we are popular enough and have the leverage to make good relationships.

The California-born siblings were into wrestling since they were teenagers, with their parents installing a ring in their backyard, where the brothers mimicked moves they saw on television.

The brothers officially got into the wrestling business when Matt opened up his own wrestling franchise called High-Risk Wrestling, where they ply their trade even today. Matt and Nick have also appeared on other franchises such as WWE and TNA, and are the current PWG World Tag Team Champions, which is the fourth time they won this honor.
