Grayson Waller vs Ari Sterling on 205 Live

These two have been some of the best additions to 205 Live in some time, and the main event between them was exactly what fans of the brand have been hoping for. The cocky Australian, Grayson Waller, had his hands full against the high-flying and innovative Ari Sterling.

Waller took Sterling down to the mat early, showing a better aptitude for the mat game. Waller's arrogance caused him to lose control of proceedings as Sterling got the half-mount and threw a few strikes before Waller crawled to the ropes.

After trading the upper hand back and forth, Sterling took Waller down with a hip toss. On the apron, Sterling caught Waller with an enzuigiri and sent him across the ring with a springboard headscissor.

Waller responded with a springboard armdrag but was laid out with a forearm by Sterling. At 3-0 in his weight class on 205 Live, Waller nearly had another victory added to his record with an arm-trapped DDT.

Waller caught Sterling with a basement dropkick to the knee. He countered a sunset flip, nearly capturing Sterling in a triangle choke. Though Sterling broke away thanks to the ropes, Waller almost picked up a win on 205 Live with a quick crescent moon kick.

Waller picked Sterling up in the torture rack for a series of backbreakers before hitting an inverted Finlay Roll. Sterling responded with a series of open palm strikes, but a boot hoofed him right back to the mat.

Sterling broke away from the Kimura attempt and sent Waller to the floor. Waller stopped the Moonsauce, bringing Sterling down to the floor and setting him on the apron for a slingshot stomp to the arm.

Waller followed with a rolling stunner and an elbow drop, but somehow Sterling kicked out, saving himself from defeat in the 205 Live main event. Sterling caught Waller with the discus lariat and a leaping heel kick.

A rolling ax kick to the back of the neck sent Waller to the floor. Moonsauce connected, but failed to hit the 450 in the ring. Waller failed to hit the leaping curb stomp, and Sterling caught him with a forward rolling sidewalk slam for the win.

Results: Ari Sterling defeated Grayson Waller via pinfall on 205 Live.
