WWE 205 Live Results (5/16/2017)

Here are the results from 205 Live

205 Live took place this week from the SNMU Arena in Manchester, HM. Here are the results from the latest live broadcast.

Opening segment: Catching up

After a recap of what happened the previous week, Austin Aries was interviewed. Aries discussed how Neville is using TJP and how, also, his current knee injury wouldn’t keep him from defeating Perkins later that night.

Noam Dar vs. Gran Metalik

The Scottish Supernova eventually landed a running kick to gain the victory

The opening match involved Scotland’s Noam Dar taking on Mexico’s Gran Metalik.

With regard to the story, Noam recently reunited with his former girlfriend, Alicia Fox, and she made every effort to interfere on Dar’s behalf. Metalik attempted to overcome these distractions and use his high flying offence to gain the upper hand.

However, it wasn’t meant to be, as the Scottish Supernova eventually landed a running kick to gain the victory.

Winner by pinfall: Noam Dar

Segment: The Brian Kendrick discusses Akira Tozawa

Next week, former Cruiserweight champion The Brian Kendrick takes on the man he attempted to mentor, Akira Tozawa, in a street fight. In the interview, Kendrick claims that Tozawa had better remember all the lessons he “taught” him if he wants to survive.

Tony Nese vs. Mustafa Ali

Drew Gulak attacked Ali from behind before he could even reach the ring. Gulak screamed to Ali that he “knows better” and slammed him into the ring post. Gulak then gave Tony Nese a chance to attack Ali – an opportunity Nese took with a running knee to Mustafa’s head. Gulak then entered the ring with his “No Fly Zone” signs.

Result: Tony Nese vs. Mustafa Ali declared a No Contest.

Backstage segment: Rich Swann and exploding packages

The “Outlandish” Rich Swann was interviewed backstage and asked about his feud with Noam Dar – a feud Swann claimed he’s “not worried” about – when a package delivery man approached him. Swann directed the delivery man to Ariya Daivari, who insisted it’s his “$2,500 sunglasses”.

Before he can open it, however, Gentleman Jack Gallaher tried to prevent him. Daivari opened it anyway, only to have the package “explode” sending white powder all over him and his “$15 hundred shirt.”

Because, you know... WWE.

Match: Austin Aries vs. TJ Perkins

Despite his “knee injury”, doctors cleared “The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived” in this match against TJP. The former Cruiserweight champion attempted to take advantage of this, going after the knee early. Aries, himself, would counteract with some submission moves of his own, but – eventually- the match would end up outside of the ring.

TJP spent the majority of the match working on the knee of Aries – as you would expect him to – and came close to finishing the match. However, Aries eventually fought his way back and, after countering TJP’s finisher, the Detonation Kick, he slapped on the Last Chancery to get TJP to tap out.

Neville then ran to the ring to attack his nemesis and is soon followed by Jack Gallagher. The show ended like you’d imagine, with Neville and TJP staring at the faces from outside the ring, while Gallagher tends to Aries.

Winner: Aries by submission
