Vic Josephs welcomed the WWE Universe to 205 Live by introducing a permanent new member of the commentary team, NXT's Percy Watson. He also ran down the matches scheduled for tonight, Kalisto vs Akira Tozawa and Drew Gulak vs Mark Andrews. Cedric Alexander's championship celebration will also take place.

Kalisto vs Akira Tozawa

The match began with the two former Cruiserweight Champions trading wrist and headlocks before Kalisto catches Tozawa with a headstand headscissors. Kalisto allowed Tozawa to get up, and Tozawa played up the crowd with the "Ahh" chant.

The pace quickened afterwards, with both men flying around each other, avoiding strikes. However, Tozawa would catch the luchador with a stiff shot to the jaw, forcing him into the corner for a series of stomps. Tozawa kept Kalisto grounded with an array of kicks followed by a seated senton.

Kalisto fought out of a headlock but Tozawa again cut him down with stiff backhanded fists and kicks. Tozawa ran at Kalisto in the corner, but he avoided Tozawa, catching him with a kick to the head, followed by a Meteora, springboard spinning elbow, and a basement rana. However, he could only manage a two-count.

Kalisto forced Tozawa to the top of the turnbuckle, but Tozawa would knock him down to the mat. However, before he could hit the Diving Senton, Kalisto hit him with an enziguri. Both men fought at the top of the ropes before Kalisto hit Tozawa with a massive Spanish fly off the top. Yet again, Tozawa was able to kick out at two.

Tozawa fought back to his feet with a flurry of elbows and kicks, getting the upper hand again after he caught the former champion with a spinning heel kick. Tozawa measured Kalisto for a big boot in the corner, but Kalisto evaded and forced Tozawa back to the mat with a series of kicks. With Tozawa seated and dazed, Kalisto went for an attack from across the ring, but Tozawa was playing possum, monkey flipping him into the turnbuckle where Kalisto.

Tozawa went to the top for the Diving Senton, but Kalisto got out of the ring. However, Tozawa hit him with a baseball slide and suicide dive combo before throwing him back in the ring. Tozawa went for the Diving Senton again, but Kalisto put his knees up. Kalisto went for a hurricanrana, but Tozawa countered it. The former champs went into a trade of pins before Kalisto hit Tozawa with a Salida Del Sol for the win.
