Prior to NXT, Curt Stallion was attacked by Legado Del Fantasma, taking him out of a tag match. The latest 205 Live hotshot will, at some point, face the Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar. So tonight, he needed to continue his run on 205 Live with a win against Ariya Daivari.
Ariya Daivari vs Curt Stallion on 205 Live
Daivari Dinero took Curt Stallion to school early, dominating the young star. However, it didn't take long for Stallion to turn things around, taking the 205 Live OG to the floor for a headbutt.
Daivari was bounced off the table and barricade before getting tossed inside for a standing double stomp to the chest. Stallion moved up for a dive, but Daivari quickly rolled away to the floor. Stallion tried to follow with a suicide dive, but Daivari caught his arm, guiding him right into the barricade.
Ariya Daivari looked for the count-out win, but Stallion beat it by nine. Noticing that Stallion wasn't anywhere near 100% anymore, he put him in the ropes for an elevated neckbreaker. The 205 Live veteran bounced Stallion's chest first off the top turnbuckle, following that with the reverse DDT for a near fall.
Another neckbreaker further irritated Stallion's injury from Wednesday. The Camel Clutch tortured him, but "Lonestar" Stallion was able to break it before winning trade with 205 Live's resident brawler.
A double high-impact crossbody left both men down on the mat struggling to get their breath. Stallion was the first back up and sent Daivari into the corner for the running knee/dropkick combo before hitting the double foot trapped DDT for a two-count.
Daivari got a chance to steal one with a uranage side slam, but couldn't get the job done. A superkick left Stallion in a daze, but before he could hit a piledriver, Stallion countered with an over the shoulder kneeling neckbreaker. Stallion moved up top for a big body splash. 1-2-no, Daivari kicked out.
Curt Stallion avoided a splash from Daivari and knocked out the longtime 205 Live star with a leaping corkscrew headbutt.
Results: Curt Stallion defeated Ariya Daivari via pinfall on 205 Live.

Curt Stallion, again, picked up an impressive win. With Santos Escobar barely appearing on the Purple Brand, 205 Live seems to be Curt Stallion's show. Will he become the next NXT Cruiserweight Champion?
