TJP vs Gran Metalik
WWE 205 Live started off with a match between TJP and Gran Metalik. Gran Metalik's friend Kalisto was watching the match backstage. The match went back and forth. Then TJP went on the offence with kicks and headlocks including a springboard forearm to Gran Metalik. TJP would have six unsuccessful pin attempts in the match.
Gran Metalik got the victory with the Metalik Driver. After the match, TJP was frustrated and asked the crowd if they thought this was funny. He destroyed the announcer's table and took a bottled water from the announcer's table.
Enzo Amore's backstage interview
Next up was Enzo Amore being interview backstage. Amore was asked about his ankle injury that he endured during Monday Night RAW in his match against Cedric Alexander on the previous night.
Tony Nese inserted himself in the interview. Nese told Amore that he wanted to be back in The Zo Train. He also assured the latter that he will prove himself to get back into the Zo Train by beating Cedric Alexander.
Jack Gallagher runs away
Clips from a prior week where Jack Gallagher attacked Hideo Itami were shown. Gallagher spoke in the ring and cut a promo on Hideo Itami. He was talking about wanting to ruin Itami's life. Hideo Itami came to the ring to attack Jack Gallagher after Jack mentioned torture. Right after he got a hold of Gallagher's umbrella to use it on him, he ran away.
Cedric Alexander's backstage interview
Cedric Alexander was seen backstage being interviewed about his match at the previous night on Monday Night RAW for the Cruiserweight Championship. Cedric wished that he was the Cruiserweight Champion, but he is not disappointed because he knows he can get a rematch. Following that, Goldust showed and talked about Tony Nese who is out for redemption, but in Goldust's own words.
Tony Nese vs Cedric Alexander
Enzo Amore came to the ring to introduce Tony Nese for his match against Cedric Alexander. Tony Nese started on the offence against Cedric Alexander. Cedric Alexander did a flatliner on Tony Nese. Cedric Alexander dived outside of the ring on Tony Nese and a schoolboy later. This matchup went back and forth with strikes from both wrestlers.
Alexander ended up getting the pinfall with a small package.
After the match, Enzo Amore was upset as he was watching from ringside. He ran his mouth at Cedric Alexander. Cedric Alexander did not take to kindly to that, thereby attacking Amore.
He had his Cruiserweight Championship with him, but Alexander grabbed the title after hitting Amore with his finisher the Lumber Check. Later, before exiting the ring Cedric Alexander laid the title behind Amore's head as he was laid out in the middle of the ring.
