Another week, another 205 Live match featuring August Grey taking on either Ariya Daivari or Tony Nese. As great as these guys are, we've seen different combinations of these Superstars in the ring many times in the past few months.

August Grey vs Ariya Daivari on 205 Live

The resident brawler of 205 Live took the fight to the young upstart, but August Grey rebounded with a series of headlock takedowns. Ariya Daivari made it back to his feet for that kitchen sink knee lift but was rolled up with a schoolboy for a near fall.

Grey rocked Daivari with a big right and nearly hit So Much Prettier. Daivari broke away, moving to the floor. Grey followed, allowing Daivari to slide back in and hit him with a dropkick on the apron. Back in the ring, Grey avoided a hangman's neckbreaker and Figure-Four Leglock. However, he was dropped with a destructive clothesline that turned him inside out.

Daivari was stunned by some powerful rights from the 205 Live rookie, but again escaped a So Much Prettier. A reverse DDT spiked Grey for a two-count. The rookie was caught in a sleeper hold, but shook off Daivari Dinero, leading to a double clothesline.

Grey planted the 205 Live OG with an Emerald Flowsion, but it wasn't enough. A Final Cut dropped him for yet another two-count. Daivari responded with the Persian Lion Splash, earning a near fall. Countering the Figure-Four again, Grey twisted Daivari around with a belly-to-back powerbomb of sorts. An STO on the apron dropped Daivari on his spine.

Daivari ducked the tight-rope walking crossbody, letting Grey crash and burn. The 205 Live OG went for the pin, but the ref saw him using the ropes for leverage. Some arguing allowed Grey to rock him with the superkick. Daivari blocked the So Much Prettier twice but was rolled up after bouncing off the corner. Turnabout seemed to be fair play as Grey used the ropes to secure the win.

Results: August Grey defeated Ariya Daivari via pinfall on 205 Live.

Grade: B-

Mansoor, Curt Stallion, The Bollywood Boyz, Ever-Rise, Ariya Daivari, Tony Nese, Jake Atlas and August Grey are all incredibly talented 205 Live stars. It's unfortunate that the show seems to be stuck in some strange alternate universe where we get nearly identical match-ups week in and week out with seemingly no consequences or advancements in the story.

The only hint we got this week was Mansoor and Stallion refusing to work together. But the way 205 Live has been in the past year, it could take nine or ten matches with BollyRise before something comes out of it.
