The Brian Kendrick vs Isaiah "Swerve" Scott on 205 Live

Isaiah "Swerve" Scott took the 205 Live veterans pretty well when it came to the mat game. Brian Kendrick attempted to turn it into a brawl but was planted with a rolling flatliner by Scott.

A hammerlock belly-to-back suplex dropped Kendrick for a one-count. Swerve worked over Kendrick's arm, attempting to weaken it to prevent the Captain's hook. A cross armbreaker was prevented by Kendrick as he rolled to the floor before yanking Swerve out and launching him into the steel steps.

The former 205 Live/NXT Cruiserweight Champion avoided a back elbow in the corner and booted Scott in the jaw. The hangman's neckbreaker hit, nearly getting Kendrick the win.

Swerve responded with his middle rope leaping uppercut to the back of Kendrick's neck. Scott also countered a rope trapped neckbreaker, sending Kendrick to the floor for an apron Yakuza Kick.

Back inside the ring, Kendrick caught Swerve in the Captain's Hook. He stood Scott up to his feet, planting Scott with the Sliced Bread No. 2 for another close call. However, the 205 Live Original couldn't put Scott away.

Kendrick decided to get a little creative, which wound up being his downfall. Countering an avalanche Captain's Hook, he hit the JML Driver for the win.

Results: Isaiah "Swerve" Scott defeated The Brian Kendrick via pinfall on 205 Live.

Grade: A

Kendrick nearly walked away without shaking Scott's hand, but Swerve told him he was "better than that" encouraging the 205 Live vet to do the right thing.
