#1 Roman Reigns versus The Rock for Universal Championship at WrestleMania

Roman Reigns versus The Rock is a dream match for many.

One of the hottest stories in WWE right now is Roman Reigns' heel turn and subsequent partnership with Paul Heyman. The Big Dog won his second Universal Championship at Payback in a Triple Threat match against Braun Strowman and The Fiend. Reigns is expected to have a lengthy title reign, at least holding the title till WrestleMania. His first challenger will be his real-life cousin, Jey Uso.

It seems as if this feud is either a placeholder or a prelude to something much greater. Either way, barring a minor miracle, the chances of Jey Uso winning are slim to none. If this program is serving as a prelude, Reigns may have to deal with the most electrifying man in all of sports-entertainment: The Rock.

There are several indicators that point towards a colossal dream match between Roman Reigns and The Rock. First, Reigns' recent antics have made him a deplorable and despicable figure. Given the classic hero-villain dynamic WWE likes to follow, WWE may be looking to bring a mega babyface into the fore at WrestleMania. The Rock could fill in that place.

Secondly, WrestleMania takes place in Hollywood next year, which is basically The Rock's second home. Lastly, WWE wants Reigns to become a massive heel and wants him to gain some serious heat. Defeating The Rock would be a great way to accomplish that feat.
