5 storylines for Sasha Banks once she makes her return

The Boss is poised to make her return to Raw and Smackdown

Sasha Banks hasn’t done much since coming within inches of winning the WWE Women’s Championship at the Triple Threat match during WrestleMania 32. She has been out of action after she suffered a concussion after getting accidentally hit in the head with a referee’s knee. Since her comeback last month, she’s only been featured on on Superstars and Main Event, and let’s be honest, who watches Main Event?

Sasha is arguably the most popular female WWE Superstar on the main roster right now and it’s high time WWE capitalize on her popularity and push her to mega-stardom. Here are 5 ways to book Sasha Banks to the top of the WWE women’s division.

5: NatalyaA deud with

A feud with Natalya would be a good to get Sasha off the mark, after her return.

The first feud for Sasha after making her return to action has to be a short feud with Natalya. Natalya is sort of the veteran keeper of the keys for the WWE women’s division and a win over her could give Sasha momentum as she continues her undefeated streak on the main roster and continues to fight towards getting her first WWE Women’s Championship.

Natalya and Sasha can both hold their own in the ring and a match between the two should be top notch. If WWE gives enough time for the match, we will have a stellar bout to watch and enjoy.

4: The Boss vs The Irish Lass Kicker

Becky and Sasha have faced each other many times in the past and they always get the best out of each other.

The next thing on Sasha’s list has to be a #1 contender’s match against Becky Lynch. Becky and Sasha have great chemistry in the ring and have already shown that they can put together great matches both on NXT and on the main roster, and they’re two of the most popular wrestlers on the main roster right now.

A #1contenders match between the two would be of pay-per-view quality and a lengthy bout between the two would cement the two of them at the top of the women’s division.

3: Taking out the queen

Sasha can then take on Charlotte for the WWE Women’s Championship.

Following her win over Becky, Sasha can set her sights on the WWE Women’s Championship match against Charlotte preferably at SummerSlam. The match could be some sort of a gimmick match (maybe a cage match) to ensure that the match was seen as a spectacle in the eyes of fans, a true co-main event.

Before the match at SummerSlam, Sasha could also take out Dana Brooke to eliminate her as a threat during the title match.

Sasha and Charlotte have always matched up well together, Charlotte having the advantage in size and power, and Sasha having the advantage of speed and slightly better wrestling ability. Their match would be one of the best women’s matches in recent years and should end with Sasha winning her first WWE Women’s Championship.

2: The Boss vs The Boss

Stephanie making her in-ring return to face Sasha could be a great match.

WWE could do a big angle with Sasha following her win over Charlotte. This could involve a storyline where Stephanie McMahon would get jealous at how much the fans loved Sasha. She could contrive in her own head that Sasha had gotten too big for her boots following her championship win.

Following this Stephanie would try to unsuccessfully screw Sasha out of the championship, maybe by aligning with another female wrestler. This angle would eventually lead to a match between Sasha Banks and Stephanie McMahon for the Women’s Championship, possibly at the Royal Rumble. Stephanie would try to win with the help of outside interference but Sasha would defy the odds to win and cement her spot at the top of the Women’s division.

1: Sasha vs Bayley III

Can Sasha and Bayley top their matches at Brooklyn and Takeover: Respect?

Bayley would debut on the night after Sasha defeats Stephanie. The match could either be face vs heel with Sasha turning before Bayley made her surprise debut or they could have a face vs face classic.

Bayley and Sasha showed the WWE Universe what they could do at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn and when they main evented at NXT Takeover:Respect. These two were born to wrestle each other. They have the same kind of chemistry in the ring as Stone Cold and The Rock did in the Attitude Era.

The match between the two could be big enough to main event a pay-per-view given the right kind of build or it could even be a semi-main event at WrestleMania. Sasha and Bayley will live up to the hype and give us an unforgettable match.
