Big name turns down offer to appear at WrestleMania 32

Vince McMahon and co. are trying their level best to rope in big names for a special WrestleMania 32 appearance, with The Rock being one of the names confirmed to be involved in a historic segment.

According to reports from ProWrestlingSheet, Batista was backstage at Sunday’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view and had a meeting with Vince McMcahon regarding a one-off appearance at WretleMania 32.

The boss wants Batista at the biggest pay-per-view in WWE’s calendar and an idea was pitched to the former WWE Champion, wich involved him being in a non-wrestling segment. Batista, after fine-tuned deliberation, rejected the idea, yet, kept himself open for an appearance if the WWE creative came up with something better.

The Animal has been off WWE TV since the Evolution-Shield feud and has stated earlier, that he would only return if the creative team cooks up something substantial for him.

The complete details of the non-wrestling appearance that was turned down by Batista aren’t known at the moment, but considering WWE's battle with injuries, the creative team will surely come up with another idea or two.

With the Rock busy hyping up the Dallas show, WWE would be banking on other big names to add some star power.
