WWE Clash of Champions 2017: Rumors you need to know

Will we see a title change at Clash of Champions?
Will we see a title change at Clash of Champions?

WWE Clash of Champions is now just hours away and there are a couple of last-minute rumours we need to look into before the SmackDown exclusive PPV gets under way.

The biggest matches on the card are the WWE Championship match where AJ Styles defends against Jinder Mahal and the tag-team match where Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens' WWE careers hang in the balance, not to mention the match having two referees (which definitely "won't" play a part in the finish).

The SmackDown women's title and the WWE US Championship will also be on the line on the last stop before the 2018 Royal Rumble.

Title Changes

According to CageSide Seats, the likelihood of a title changing tonight is unlikely, although they also mention that if a title change were to happen, it'd be the WWE US Championship.

As the last stop before the Royal Rumble, we weren't really expecting a title change and this seems to almost confirm it, although the possibility of a US title change cannot be ruled out.

Therefore, we can expect AJ Styles, Charlotte and The Usos to walk into the Royal Rumble as champions.

Daniel Bryan to turn on Shane McMahon?

The conflict in Daniel Bryan has been evident since Shane invaded RAW and brought the red brand under siege. Bryan disillusionment has only continued as Shane's feud with Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens has led to more heavy handedness on the part of the SmackDown GM.

After Shane made himself the special guest referee in the tag-team match, Bryan interjected to make himself the second referee. With Zayn and Owens' WWE careers in the balance, it is clear the two referees will lead to shenanigans which will probably lead to Bryan turning on Shane.
