Sami Zayn expectedly starts off with a flurry and has Jericho on the backfoot, but it is only a matter of time before the veteran composes himself and wrests back control of the match.
He methodically works on Zayn and tries to get him counted out, but Sami makes the count. Jericho looks to continue with his steady offence but is thwarted by Zayn who sends him outside and follows up with a high flying move.
Zayn in complete control now as he looks to put Jericho away with a couple of high impact moves. The veteran isn’t quite done yet, and manages to hang on using all his experience and nous, cleverly creating separation and rolling out of the ring.
Sami Zayn isn’t in a mood to relent as he connects with the tornado DDT through the ropes before getting the veteran back into the ring. He follows it up with a Blue Thunder Bomb but Jericho kicks out from the pin attempt.
Zayn looks to finish off Jericho but the veteran hits a Codebreaker out of nowhere and covers Zayn for the win.
