Huge reaction for Roman Reigns as the Big Dog comes out to face Rusev for the US Title. Typical start to the match as Roman sends Rusev reeling out of the ring, only for the Bulgarian Brute to return fire after coming back in.
Rusev then targets Reigns’ abdomen before sending him shoulder first into the ring post. Roman tries to fight back, but to no avail as Rusev imposes his will on him with a headlock followed by a dropkick.
But the momentum built by the US Champion is headed off when Reigns fights back and sends the Bulgarian Brute shoulder first onto the steel steps. He looks to capitalise on it but is met with a Superkick from Rusev.
Rusev looks to follow that up with another Superkick but is intercepted by a Superman Punch. Reigns hits a Spear but Lana pulls the referee out just as he is about to count 3!
The referee has had enough and sends Lana to the back! Rusev capitalises on the time to recover, and tries to lock in the Accolade. Reigns fights out of it and hits the Spear out of nowhere to pin Rusev.
We have a new US Champion!
Result: Roman Reigns def. Rusev via pinfall to win US Championship
