WWE Crown Jewel 2019: 3 Things that should happen at the PPV

Crown Jewel is just a few days away
Crown Jewel is just a few days away

Crown Jewel is only a few days away and the card has some intriguing matches. One cannot predict how Brock Lesnar vs. Cain Velasquez or Braun Strowman vs. Tyson Fury will go down. However, fans have low expectations for the event as history shows that PPVs in Saudi Arabia have generally been underwhelming.

But, as always, we could be proved wrong. WWE could put on a great show. There could be surprises too. For instance, the return of Superstars like John Morrison or Sheamus will be positive, whereas the crowning of Cain Velasquez as WWE Champion will be negative.

Focusing on the positive side, we will look at three things that should happen on the show. They will have a positive overall impact on the product, and therefore, should happen.

Comment your opinion down below regarding your expectations for the show.

#3 Braun Strowman doesn't lose

Strowman vs.Fury
Strowman vs.Fury

WWE has been inconsistent with Braun Strowman's booking for the last few years. Despite being over with the fans and looking dominant, Braun has failed to find success in the main event scene. WWE has made him look strong only to lose at the end. Therefore, he has lost a ton of momentum.

He was recently put in a feud with boxing star Tyson Fury and will face him at Crown Jewel. Fans online have been vocal about their dislike of this feud. It is almost a foregone conclusion that Fury won't suffer a loss, just months before his boxing rematch with Deontay Wilder.

Therefore, most believe that Fury will beat The Monster Among Men clean as a whistle. However, that will make things worse for Braun as a loss will further hinder his momentum and shouldn't happen. Instead, WWE has to figure something out. Fans have been speculating about the possibility of this bout being interrupted by some duo, henceforth turning it into a tag team match.

That could be a smart way to avoid having Fury wrestle much, and it also allows them both to win. So, it looks like the best possible scenario.

#2 AOP return and win the WWE World Cup

Authors of Pain
Authors of Pain

Last week, WWE broke the news that nine tag teams will wrestle in a tag team turmoil match at Crown Jewel to determine the best team in the world. The winners will get a World Cup, and this tournament is similar to the one held last year at Crown Jewel. This, of course, gets most wrestlers on the card and may not mean much at the end.

There are several teams in the match that stand no chance of winning this match like The B-Team, or The Lucha House Party, or Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder. But, it can be used to establish the next tag team title contenders. The Authors of Pain have been in many vignettes on RAW during the last month after being out due to injury.

It looks like they will be a dominant tag team in the months to come. Therefore, they should be surprise entrants in the match and win it. They could also be great opponents for The Viking Raiders as no other team on the RAW roster is credible enough.

It would be a smart way to re-introduce AOP and should happen.

#1 Brock Lesnar defeats Cain Velasquez

Brock should retain his title
Brock should retain his title

Brock Lesnar faces his kryptonite Cain Velasquez at Crown Jewel for the WWE Championship at Crown Jewel. Though there is some story to this match, it is despised by fans due to certain things. Firstly, Brock Lesnar squashed Kofi Kingston, who had been booked strongly for months, to win the title. It would have been better off to have a longer match than that.

Secondly, Cain Velasquez is getting a WWE Championship shot despite not doing anything to earn it all. He's an MMA star who will bring in some attention, but that doesn't warrant a title shot on debut. Had he been made to work his way to the top rather than being instantly placed there, he would get better reception.

It would be even more of an insult to other wrestlers if Cain wins the WWE Title. He can't look too weak either, so they could have him get some considerable offense in before Brock gets dominant and eventually defeats Velasquez. There will likely be a lot of criticism if Cain is the winner.

Though some fans despise Brock Lesnar, he should be the clear victor here.
