Mansoor made his main roster debut as part of Super ShowDown back in June, where he was able to come out victorious in the 51-man Battle Royal. This was when Mansoor became a star in his home country, so it came as no surprise that WWE announced that his first-ever singles match would take place as part of Crown Jewel.

Mansoor made his way to the ring to a thunderous ovation and put on quite the show in front of his home crowd, but it was Cesaro who missed a step that led to the only low point of the match. This bout could easily be considered the match of the night, but that doesn't excuse the fact that Cesaro managed to get himself caught up in the ropes when Mansoor delivered a standing dropkick that should have taken him to the outside.

Cesaro fumbled in the ropes for a few seconds before he was able to find his feet and fall to the outside. Mansoor obviously capitalized on this and it was the home town hero who went on to pick up the win in the country where it appears that the star is unbeatable.
