Rey Mysterio has been linked with a WWE return for some time now

As they did with The Greatest Royal Rumble, the WWE is probably going to chuck a lot of cash at Crown Jewel, which means that we can expect to see several former stars lace up their boots at the event.

Negotiations between Rey Mysterio and the WWE have seemingly been going on forever, and the former World Heavyweight Champion has already made two appearances in the WWE this year, appearing in both of the company's royal rumble matches.

Mysterio is a crowd favourite, and his presence in the tournament is not only going to help sell the event in Saudi Arabia but also to casual WWE fans around the rest of the world.
