WWE announced the release of several WWE superstars last night

#18. Deonna Purrazzo

Deonna Purrazzo made an impressive appearance on RAW a few weeks ago, she was a woman who had been making waves in NXT ever since the original Mae Young Classic, even though she was never fully able to make the impact of many other women on the roster.

The star posted on Twitter last night where she herself revealed that she had been released by the company.

#17. Drake Maverick

Drake Maverick is a former 24/7 Champion as well as the former General Manager of 205 Live, but he was the first man on the list of releases last night and easily one of the most heartbreaking. Maverick released a video after the news was made public where he broke down in tears as he talked about his final matches in WWE as part of the Interim NXT Cruiserweight Championship.

The matches will still go ahead and Maverick believes that this could save his career with the company if he's the man who's able to come out on top in the tournament.
