WWE Elimination Chamber 2015: 3 Possible Endings for Tag Team Championship Match

WWE tag team titles to be defended for the first time ever at Elimination Chamber

For the first time in its history, the WWE tag team championship will be defended inside the Elimination Chamber. Six teams will be fighting it out for the championship at the American Bank Center in a few days and the match promises to impress.

Defending Champions New Day, Lucha Dragons, Tyson Kidd and Cesaro, Prime Time Players, Los Matadores and the Ascension are the teams currently in the mix and though some of these names are really surprising, the jam-packed schedule of WWE should also be considered.

It was probably the reason for Wyatt Family getting day off at Elimination Chamber as WWE has another pay-per-view coming up after two weeks. Now that the match is booked, what the creative team should worry about would be the ending, so here is a look at the possible climaxes.

The surprise packages

Ascension could restore their credibility

Every team except the New Day and Tyson Kidd & Cesaro are the underdogs in this match. Even though WWE might give the upper hand to them during the buildup, it would be really surprising if one of the remaining four teams walked out of Elimination Chamber with the gold.

So if WWE wants their result to be shocking, then they have four options to choose from. Now, Ascension winning the title would be a great deal considering how messed up they are. The tag title run could bring back legitimacy into the team while the remaining teams are not so desperate.

Prime Time Players also deserves a run on the other hand as they are hands down the most experienced team here along with Los Matadores. So the toss up is between Prime Time Players and Ascension unless WWE wants to boost their merchandise sales with Lucha Dragons.

Good guys and Wyatt Family

They deserve another reign

Taking the four teams out of the situation leaves us with the remaining two. Tyson Kidd and Cesaro did have their title run some time back and it wouldn’t be a big surprise if WWE gives them the title once again. They are clearly over with the fans as baby faces and have been consistent over the last few months.

The way in which they lost the title back at Extreme Rules and Payback also makes them great contenders to win the titles at Elimination Chamber. Also, it would be important to have a solid team like them in the title picture heading to SummerSlam as it guarantees a good quality match from the division.

And once they win the title, a post-match attack from Wyatt Family could give us a mouthwatering feud.

Three is better than two

Three is better than two

One of the most interesting things about the Elimination Chamber Tag team match will be New Day’s third man. At this moment, we don’t know whether they could have all three members in the pod or just two in the pod. Either way, the third member of the team will have a big role to play in the match.

If WWE is indeed going to let all three members be inside the chamber, then the other teams will have some extra work to do. It might sound a bit cheap once it happens but at the end of the day, a climax like this would help New Day stamp their heel brilliance in the tag team division. Also, Xavier Woods will get some quality pay-per-view time unlike the interference ones that he has been pulling off lately.
