WWE took their next step in raising the profile of their women's divisions by crowning the Women's Tag Team Championships at the Elimination Chamber.

The teams of Sasha Banks & Bayley and Nia Jax & Tamina were the favorites to win the belts, but The IIconics were also in the running to win the match. With that being said, every team in the chamber had something to offer in the match, but there could be only one winner.

Banks & Bayley started the match against Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville and traded blows for a few minutes before the former members of Absolution gained control.

The tides turned in favor of Banks and Bayley when Rose & Deville missed attacks near the chain walls and got the upper hand just before the next entrants emerged.

Third Entrant: Riott Squad

Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan went right after Banks & Bayley before moving on to the members of Absolution. Morgan and Deville traded some heavy blows before Bayley ran into the ring and landed some big attacks.

Bayley went to the top rope but was cut off by Rose & Deville. Banks was off in the corner selling an injury while the Riott Squad grabbed Bayley, Rose and Deville for a Tower of Doom spot.

Fourth Entrant: The IIconics

Peyton Royce and Billie Kay ran into the ring and pinned every woman around, but were completely unsuccessful. The IIconics tried to eliminate Bayley, but Banks came into the ring and attacked them. Banks' arm was targeted by Royce and Kay before attempting a double pin for a near fall.

The IIconics pulled Banks and Bayley to the outside of the chamber and pushed their faces into the chain mesh and launched as many attacks as possible before going for an unsuccessful pinfall.

Fifth Entrants: Naomi & Carmella

Naomi and Carmell entered the match next before setting up each team in the corner and hitting a pair of Bronco Busters.

Eventually, every woman traded some suplexes and spears against each other at random, but no pinfall attempts - seemingly setting up Nia & Tamina to clear the ring.

Rose broke up a submission attempt by Carmella and was attacked by Naomi, who was eventually eliminated by the IIconics hitting a double roll-up pinfall.

Elimination #1: Naomi & Carmella

The other teams were about to attack the IIconics but convinced the teams to focus on Jax & Tamina instead before slipping into a pod.

Sixth Entrants: Nia Jax & Tamina

The Samoan Duo demolished the other teams before making their way to The IIconics, prying them from their pod and hitting a double Samoan Drop to eliminate Royce & Kay.

Elimination #2: The IIconics

The Riott Squad and Rose & Deville attacked Jax & Tamina before Banks & Bayley ran into the ring and went after the other teams.

Eventually, The Samoan Duo ran into the ring and went after The Riott Squad before Morgan and Logan hit dual splashes on Rose, Jax and Deville, but a splash and a Samoan Drop would eliminate The Riott Squad.

Elimination #3: The Riott Squad

Banks & Bayley tried to go after Jax & Tamina, but were overpowered. Jax set up Bayley for a running splash through the pod, but Bayley sidestepped her and sent Jax crashing through the pod.

Rose & Deville teamed up with Banks & Bayley to eliminate Tamina and end the match they way they started it - against each other.

Elimination #4: Nia Jax & Tamina

Banks and Bayley hit a backbreaker-belly to belly suplex combo on Deville for a nearfall that was interrupted by Rose.

Rose ran to the top of the pod before being attacked by Banks and Bayley. Deville interrupted the attack and Bayley landed awkwardly, leaving The Boss to fend for herself.

Rose hit her finisher for a nearfall and Deville attempted a spear, but accidentally hit her tag team partner instead.

Banks locked in an inverted Bank Statement on Deville to win the match.
