Back in 2010, Kofi Kingston was close to the pinnacle during his feud with Randy Orton. The WWE Universe saw a very different side of Kofi as he was brutal in his matches against Orton.

In the end, however, nothing came of it for Kofi. He might have won the Intercontinental and US championship after that but the main title has kept eluding him.

But last week, he came into the reckoning for the WWE championship when his name was included in place of the injured Mustafa Ali. Ever since then, owing to that superb Gauntlet match at SmackDown, he has been very over.

And at the Elimination Chamber, chants of Kofi and the subsequent reaction to his loss shows that he is the most over star right now. And when someone is this over, it means that he is in the main-eventer bracket.
