WWE Elimination Chamber: 5 Potential finishes for Asuka vs Nia Jax

Who will come out on top at Elimination Chamber?

Asuka puts her undefeated streak on the line in what could be her toughest test when she takes on Nia Jax this Sunday at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.

Nia hasn't been booked the way she should over the past few months and could have been built up as a much bigger threat to Asuka if the company had allowed her to become the dominant figure that she had so much potential to be in NXT.

If Nia is able to defeat Asuka then she will go on to be part of the Raw Women's Championship match at WrestleMania and be the first women to have been able to defeat The Empress of Tomorrow, which would be quite a boost for the former NXT star.

#5. Asuka defeats Nia clean

It's definitely an option that Nia could become just another name in a long list of women who have fallen at the feet of the former NXT Women's Champion. Asuka has never been able to lock in the Asuka Lock on Nia, so that makes it much harder for her to be able to defeat perhaps her biggest challenger.

Asuka has defeated her before though, so this gives her a huge advantage heading into this match. After defeating the likes of Bayley and Sasha Banks in recent weeks, Asuka will be on a high heading into WrestleMania knowing that her Royal Rumble win has already ensured her a match, so her confidence could allow her to easily sail past Nia on Sunday night.

#4. Nia manages to finally end Asuka's undefeated streak

Could Nia finally be the one to defeat Asuka on Sunday night?
Could Nia finally be the one to defeat Asuka on Sunday night?

Whilst it is highly unlikely, there is still a possibility that Nia could be the woman who ends Asuka's undefeated streak. Asuka is putting her lengthy streak on the line in this match as Nia fights for an opportunity at the title that she couldn't pick up at last year's WrestleMania.

Nia is Asuka's toughest challenger and it's hard to see The Empress of Tomorrow being able to throw Nia around like she has every other opponent over the past few years. This could be the beginning of something huge for Nia if she is able to overcome the challenge of Asuka and be the first woman to pin the Japanese star but as already stated, this is a highly unlikely outcome but nothing in wrestling is ever a certainty.

#3. Seeds are planted for Charlotte vs Asuka

Who will Asuka choose?

One match that has been rumoured for WrestleMania over the past few months is Asuka vs Charlotte. It is thought that this is the reason why Asuka hasn't yet announced who she intends to face at the biggest event of the year.

With the brand split on pay-per-view coming to an end soon, it seems that it would be much easier for Charlotte and Asuka to be able to do battle but it could be hard for the company to set up a match between the duo at WrestleMania in the next few months if they are never in the same arena.

Seeds need to be planted, so if Ronda is in attendance on Sunday night, then Charlotte could be too and we finally may get an announcement from Asuka to decide who she wants to fight at the biggest event of the year.

#2. Nia defeats Asuka by disqualification

It is perhaps the best way to ensure that Nia Jax is able to face Alexa Bliss at WrestleMania and Asuka is able to retain her undefeated streak.

Someone could get involved and attack Nia to give her the disqualification win that would then allow her to say that she won the match and now has a place in the Raw Women's Championship match at WrestleMania.

It would be kind of cowards way out since many fans would expect a clean win here for Asuka or Nia, but it seems that if Nia wants to go to WrestleMania then a DQ win could be her best shot.

#1. Ronda Rousey gets involved

Have the seeds been planted for Rousey vs Asuka?
Have the seeds been planted for Rousey vs Asuka?

Ronda Rousey stole the spotlight from Asuka after she won the first ever Women's Royal Rumble match last month and then the two had something of an altercation when Asuka refused to shake her hand. It seems that the seeds have already been planted for a feud between these two in the future, but since Ronda is going to be in Las Vegas on Sunday night then why not push it further.

Rousey could decide to involve herself in the match and actually cost Asuka her streak if she physically interfered. She could even play it smart and attack Nia which would then give her the DQ win over Asuka and allow her to go to WrestleMania, which would then see Ronda step in and say that she wants a shot at Asuka's undefeated streak at the grandest stage of them all.

There are a number of ways that this match could come to an end, but it will be interesting to see if it's Nia's WrestleMania hopes come to an end or Asuka's undefeated streak.
