What did we learn from the results at WWE Elimination Chamber?

WWE Elimination Chamber 2019 turned out to be a really entertaining show in the end despite a lighter looking match card on paper. The two Elimination Chamber matches were especially entertaining with the crowd roaring for Kofi Kingston as the show came to an end. We also saw history being made as Sasha Banks and Bayley were crowned the first ever WWE Women's Tag-Team Champions.

Elimination Chamber is now over and with less than two months left for WrestleMania 35, and WWE Fastlane still to come in between. In this article, we take a look at what we can make out from the booking decisions WWE made at Elimination Chamber, as far as the road to WrestleMania is concerned.

We take a look at why Bobby Lashley lost the WWE Intercontinental Championship this soon after winning it and which matches look like they are confirmed as far as WrestleMania 35 is confirmed. Lastly, we also take a look at what Kofi Kingston's incredible performance, as well as the raucous support from the WWE fans, could mean for his career.

#5 Lashley was a transitional Champion

The strangest match at WWE Elimination Chamber had to be the Intercontinental Championship match. Bobby Lashley defended his title and teamed up with Lio Rush in a handicap match, meaning that Balor didn't have to pin Lashley to win the title, which was exactly what Finn Balor did.

We now know it was done to facilitate two things. Bobby Lashley was a transitional Champion and was given the belt so that it could then be out on Balor and also as a way to end his partnership with Lio Rush so he could align with Baron Corbin and Drew McIntyre once again later in the night.

#4 Kofi Kingston is a singles star again

Kofi Kingston's incredible performance at Elimination Chamber saw the WWE Universe in Houston on their feet and behind him all the way. Kofi lasted till the final 2 but just came up short, with Daniel Bryan barely escaping with his WWE Championship.

The last week has cemented something many WWE fans have always known, Kofi Kingston still has it in him to be a singles star and WWE need to strike while the iron is hot. We need Kofi Kingston versus Daniel Bryan in a singles match at WrestleMania.

Shane McMahon and The Miz lost the SmackDown Tag-Team titles which they'd just won last month after The Miz was pinned.

There was further tension between the two backstage after their match and it now looks certain that we'll see Shane McMahon and The Miz face each other in a singles match at WrestleMania 35.

#2 WWE rightly consider Sasha and Bayley as top tier talent

Sasha Banks and Bayley cemented their names in the history books at WWE Elimination Chamber after becoming the first ever WWE Women's Tag-Team Champions. There was a lot of talk among a section of fans last year that WWE didn't consider Bayley and Sasha as top level talent, something I always disagreed it and maintained that they barely featured in storylines because RAW just has too big a roster.

With WWE giving Bayley and Sasha Banks the honor of becoming the first women's Tag-Team Champions I think it's safe to say that WWE value the duo highly.

Despite what happened on RAW last week, with Mr. McMahon replacing Becky Lynch with Charlotte Flair, it always looked like the WrestleMania match would still be a triple threat. This was all but confirmed at Elimination Chamber after Becky Lynch showed up and brutalized Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey, giving off major Stone Cold vibes in the process.
