Evolution, the WWE's first ever all-female PPV event takes place this coming Sunday night and excitement for the event is starting to build quite nicely.
Last week, much to the chagrin of several members of the roster, the WWE announced that a battle royal match would take place at the event, with the winner earning themselves a future title shot.
The match is currently advertising 20 Superstars, with several legends also making a return for the encounter. From a booking perspective, the match is somewhat of a disappointment, but it could turn out to be one of the most unpredictable and exciting of the evening, providing it is booked correctly.
With that in mind, let's take a look at the five most likely candidates to walk away victorious on Sunday night.
#5 Tamina Snuka

While there are plenty of candidates a lot more eligible than Tamina Snuka in Sunday's match, but the WWE could decide to use the opportunity to give somebody completely unexpected a push, and given the fact that they teased a showdown between Snuka and Jax in the match, this one shouldn't be ruled out altogether.
Snuka has done absolutely nothing over the last few years, but with the rivalry between Charlotte and Becky Lynch likely to end in the near future, there is every chance Snuka could find herself pushed up the card a little bit to help Charlotte get a few victories before her rumored WrestleMania match with Ronda Rousey.
There is also the surprise factor to be considered, and if this match opens the night, then this would be a good way to establish an 'anything could happen' vibe for the rest of the night.
#4 Naomi

As former champions go, Naomi has to be considered pretty far down the pecking order at the moment.
The winner of the inaugural WrestleMania battle royal match (Santino, who? Never heard of him), Naomi has struggled to keep any sort of momentum going on SmackDown, and her last notable appearance was taking part in a losing effort against The Iiconics at Super Show-Down.
Naomi is quickly being reduced to a glorified novelty act, and a win on Sunday night could really help establish her as one of the top competitors on SmackDown right now.
With Becky Lynch now playing the role of top heel on SmackDown, Naomi could use the opportunity to move up the pecking order and become the brand's second-biggest face behind Charlotte Flair.
While Naomi's first run with the SmackDown Women's Championship was far from memorable, it was far from terrible either, and she still has the potential to be a solid babyface champion on Tuesday nights, especially given the frosty receptions that Charlotte has been receiving as of late.
#3 Nia Jax

Nia Jax has had one of the weirdest years of any superstar on the current roster. The former Raw Women's Champion has turned face and heel enough time to make The Big Show proud, and her inconsistent character booking has cost her a lot of momentum.
That being said, Jax, who is now a face, still has unfinished business with the current Raw Women's Champion, Ronda Rousey, after the match between the two women at Money in the Bank ended in a disqualification.
A win on Sunday could help Jax regain some of the momentum she has lost since her absence and having Rousey defeat her later down the line would also really help get Rousey over as champion even more than she already is.
#2 Ember Moon

Ember Moon has all the makings of a Superstar. The former NXT champion has a unique look, an exciting in-ring style, and one of the best finishing moves in the wrestling industry.
The only problem facing Ember Moon is that Ronda Rousey is currently sat at the top of the Raw women's division, and it doesn't look as though she is going to be moving anytime soon.
The beauty of Sunday's title shot stipulation, however, is its ambiguity. The match doesn't state when the title shot will be, nor does it specify which brand's belt the winner has to go after.

In this sense, the match could almost operate similarly to the Money in the Bank stipulation, and Moon could decide to wait a little bit before using her title shot.
#1 Asuka

There is no Superstar on Sunday's card that is in need of a win as much as Asuka. The former NXT Women's Champion has been one of the biggest disasters of 2018, and a win at Evolution could finally help her get back on the right track.
After starting the year strong by winning the first-ever female Royal Rumble match, Asuka has struggled to bounce back from her WrestleMania defeat against Charlotte Flair, and is losing more and more momentum by the week.
A victory for Asuka could set up a rematch against Flair at Survivor Series, and that could finally allow her to right all of the creative wrongs she has suffered this year.
